Ulf Bruening is International Client Executive leader and has represented GRC for 20 years in numerous positions. Today, responsible for managing the team of primarily European Client executives and business development within the region including Nordics. He is an experienced leader of consulting services and also a technical resource of higher hazard consulting skills. Part of his day-to-day role is also to manage primarily large Corporate Accounts on behalf of GRC, such as Siemens, Bayer and other Global Player. Prior to joining GRC in 2006, he worked for three years at FM Global. Prior to this time, he worked for other global companies where he was in charge of project execution and groups of engineers. He managed large projects on a worldwide basis. He spent a total of 3 ½   years on construction sites of power plants. Additional experience includes numerous projects ranging from various industrial construction projects to the installation of offshore structures and telecom infrastructures. The experience also includes conducting initial and follow-up property loss control evaluations of facilities such as paper mills, metalworking plants, semiconductor and other large risks.

Peter Fredricson

Peter Fredricson is responsible for managing and delivering the core services of GRC to his clients (mainly in the Nordics) and maintaining oversight of all consulting activities. Prior to joining GRC, he worked more than 10 years in a Risk Management position in one of the largest Paper & Pulp producers globally, responsible for insurance programs, Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) and Loss prevention including claims management versus insurers. Prior to this, he worked in the insurance business as Risk Engineer and Underwriter. Fire Engineering graduate from Lund University and in excess holds multiple diplomas from Stockholm school of economics (IFU) related to Risk Management and insurance. He is also an active member in SWERMA (member of the board since 2025). Participated in the Lloyd´s/FERMA Development program (2022-2023). Since 2023 FERMA/RIMAP certified Risk Professional.

Panu Haapaniemi

Director, Risk Management

Panu Haapaniemi serves as the Director of Risk Management at UPM – a globally operating material solutions company based in Helsinki – since June 2020, overseeing the global risk management function and integrating risk management into strategy and decision-making. He is also responsible for the company’s global insurance, business continuity management and loss prevention programs. Additionally, Panu is the current Chairman of the Board of Directors and Board Member for Suomen Riskienhallintayhdistys (FINNRIMA) since January 2022. Previous experience includes positions at KONE Corporation from 2013 to 2020, where Panu managed global risk assessments, business continuity, global insurance programs, and crisis management efforts, and at Pohjola Insurance Ltd from 2005 to 2013, leading cargo underwriting and claims management teams. Panu’s academic credentials include an MBA degree from Aalto University, as well as a Master of Laws from the University of Helsinki.
