  • Cutting Through the Noise: How to Turn Risk Reports into Action

    09:15 - 10:30

This talk challenges why purely quantitative risk information often fails to prompt follow-through, whereas narrative-rich or hybrid formats spur decisive responses. It challenges the myth that numbers are automatically objective and stories merely subjective, showing how poorly explained statistics can erode credibility. A central thread is risk appetite: how clear definitions of appetite and their visual integration into reports sharpen relevance, highlight exceptions, and lead to organizational action. Some risk reporting design principles and real-world cases illustrate how tailored communication can turn passive report receipt into concrete organizational action and behavioral changes.
